KUALA LUMPUR, -- Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad (MAHB) can take legal action against AirAsia to recover airport tax amounting to RM99,881,491 owed by the low-cost-carrier to MAHB as of Jan 31, the Dewan Rakyat was told Monday.
Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin said at the moment, MAHB was holding discussions with AirAsia to recover the debt.
"If necessary, we do not dismiss taking legal action to recover the money," he said when winding up debate on the motion of thanks for the Royal address on behalf of his ministry.
On the uniforms worn by stewardesses of local airlines, he said the ministry has issued reminders that they must conform to Malaysian requirements.
